On 9 August 2025, around 9am, I was standing at the edge of a small pond.
I was facing M, who was standing on the other side of the pond.
The distance between us was about 30 to 40 metres.

For 45 minutes, we were completely focused on each other, mirroring each other’s movements,
answering each other’s gestures, walking in equal or opposite directions.

We never got any closer,
the pond always remained between us.
The Pond was a collaborative project with Martine Viale.
It was performed at Les Étangs de Maumont (Hautefort, France).
