Leave was a performance, ending in a series of photographs.

During a walk, in private and public space, I focussed on leaving places.

I avoided experiencing my movements as arriving at a place.

The photographer was walking behind me.

He was shooting from the places which I left.

He was not primarily documenting my activities;

he was setting down his own point of view and by doing that,

he created the complementary part of the actual performance.
